Fish catches in January 2004
Total catch¹ of Icelandic vessels in January 2004 was 104.700 tonnes compared to 255.300 tonnes in January 2003. Demersal species accounted for 29 thousand tonnes, thereof cod was 16 thousand tonnes, haddock was 6 thousand tonnes and saithe was 3 thousand tonnes. Capelin accounted for 64 thousand tonnes and herring accounted for 9 thousand tonnes.
