Value of catch January-April 2010
Total value 45.6 billion ISK
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 45.6 billion ISK in January-April 2010, compared with 35 billion ISK in the first four months of 2009. Total value increased therefore by 30.2% between years.
Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 34.9 billion; thereof cod ISK 18.4 billion, haddock 6 billion, redfish 5.3 billion and saith 2.1 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 7.3 billion and flatfish catches for 3.1 billion.
