Guest nights in hotels increased by 13% in June

In June 2012, guest nights in hotels were 202,500 compared with 178,800 in June 2011. Nights spent by foreign tourists accounted for 86% of total guest nights in June and increased by 13% compared with June 2011. At the same time national guest nights increased also by 13%.

Nights spent in hotels increased by 21% for the first six months of 2012. Total number of guest nights was 770,800 and increased by 21% compared with the same period in 2011. Nights spent by foreign visitors increased by 23% while national guest nights increased by 12%.

The data above only show guest nights in hotels that are operating for the whole year. Guesthouses and summer hotels are not included in this category.
