There were 191 new registrations of private limited companies in August 2016. New registrations increased by 17% over the last 12 months, from September 2015 to August 2016, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 2,649 new registrations during the period, compared with 2,259 in the previous 12 months. The greatest proportional increase in new registrations was in Administrative and support service activities, from 165 to 245, or a 48% increase from the previous 12 months. Also of note is an increase in registrations from 299 to 415 in Real estate activities (39%), and an increase from 44 to 61 in Transportation and storage (39%). There was a decrease of 4% in new registrations during the period in Professional, scientific and technical activities (from 281 to 270).

There were 14 corporate insolvencies registered in August 2016. Corporate insolvencies increased by 19% over the last 12 months, from September 2015 to August 2016, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 867 corporate insolvencies during the period, compared with 729 in the previous 12 months. The greatest proportional increase in insolvencies during the period was from 124 to 183 in Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (48%). The greatest proportional decrease of insolvencies was from 89 to 77 in Real estate activities (13%).
