The surplus of balance of trade in goods and services in the third quarter of 2017, as published in National Accounts and Balance of Payments, was 70,024 million ISK according to preliminary figures, compared with 100,283 million ISK in the third quarter of 2016.
The deficit of converted trade in goods was 47,480 million ISK while the surplus of balance of trade in services was 117,503 million ISK, in the third quarter of 2017. Total export of goods and services for the third quarter of 2017 was 354,457 million ISK while total import of goods and services was 284,434 million ISK.
In the first three quarters of 2017, according to preliminary figures, the surplus of balance of trade in goods and services was 91,999 million ISK at current exchange rates, compared with 127,573 million ISK for the first three quarters 2016.
These figures are published in the Transition table on Statistic Iceland’s website, which harmonizes the standards for trade in goods and balance of payment.
