The surplus of balance of trade in goods and services in 2016, as published in National Accounts and Balance of payment, was 158,836 million ISK according to preliminary figures. Compared with 2015, the surplus of balance of trade in goods and services was then 166,615 million ISK at current exchange rates.
The deficit of converted trade in goods was 101,505 million ISK while the surplus of balance of trade in services was 260,341 million ISK in 2016.
Total export of goods and services for the year 2016 was 1,189,270 million ISK while total import of goods and services was 1,030,434 million ISK. These figures are published in the Transition table on Statistic Iceland’s website, which harmonizes the standards for trade in goods and balance of payment.
