Value of catch was 10.7 billion ISK in June which is 18.9% increase from June 2014. Value of demersal catch was nearly 8 billion ISK which is an increase by more than 19% compared to June in previous year. Value of flatfish was roughly 1.3 billion ISK in June which is increase of 500 millions compared to same month last year. The value of pelagic catch was around one billion in June which is about the same as previous year. Shellfish catch value was 436 millions in June which is 13% decrease from previous year.
In the 12 month period between July 2014 and June 2015, value of catch increased 7.9% compared to same period one year earlier. In that time value of pelagic catch has increased by nearly 22% and demersal catch by 5%.
