A total of 4,260 persons with disabilities received services from 15 municipal service areas in 2012, an increase of 66 (1.6%) from the year before. Of these were 1,599 children 17 years old or younger (37.5%), more males than females or 60%, but boys were a majority of 0–17 years old or nearly 72%. In the age group 18–39 years males were nearly 61%. On the other hand in the age group 67 years and older females were 68%. People receiving services were 1.3% of the popu¬lation, 2% of all children and 1.1% of the population 67 years or older. In the year 2012, 983 individuals with disabilities lived in collective living quar-ters, a little more than 23% and 1,905 lived with parents, around 45%.

Considering the number of service items and quantity of service that persons with disabilities, 18 years or older, received in the year 2012 shows that 2,300 (89.1%) received one or more service item. In the year 2011 they were 1,961 (83%). A total of 763 individuals (29.6%) received three or more service items were in 2012 but 326 (13.8%) in 2011.
