Tourist accommodation 2014
The total number of overnight stays was 5.5 million in the year 2014, which is a 21% increase compared with the year 2013. Nights spent by foreign tourists accounted for 80% of the total number of overnight stays and increased by 25% compared with previous year. At the same time overnight stays of Icelanders increased by 6%. From 2013 to 2014 the number of overnight stays increased in all types of accommodation establishments.
