New registrations of private limited companies increased by 11% over the last 12 months, from November 2014 to October 2015, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 2,263 new registrations during that period. The highest increase of new registrations was in Real estate activities, 43% increase over a 12 month period. Also, it is worth noting an increase in registrations in Accommodation and food service activities (35%) and Manufacturing (33%). Proportionately, the greatest decrease in new registrations over the last 12 months was 19% in Transportation and storage.
Corporate insolvencies decreased by 18% over the last 12 months, from November 2014 to October 2015, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 660 corporate insolvencies during that period. The greatest decrease of insolvencies was in Transportation and storage, 35%; while Financial and insurance activities has seen a 33% decrease in insolvencies over the last 12 months. Proportionately, the greatest increase in insolvencies over the last 12 months was 10% for Administrative and support service activities, compared with the prior 12 months.
