According to preliminary figures for January 2016, the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 45,900 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 47,100 million fob. Thus, there was a deficit of ISK 1,200 million in January 2015, calculated on fob value.
Note that an estimation for fuels purchased abroad by Icelandic ships and aircraft is now included in the preliminary figures.
