The surplus of balance of trade in goods and services in the fourth quarter of 2017, as published in National Accounts and Balance of Payments, was 13,174 million ISK according to preliminary figures, compared with 27,838 million ISK in the fourth quarter of 2016.
The deficit of converted trade in goods was 40,245 million ISK while the surplus of balance of trade in services was 53,419 million ISK, in the fourth quarter of 2017. Total export of goods and services for the fourth quarter of 2017 was 308,225 million ISK while total import of goods and services was 295,051 million ISK.
In the year 2017, according to preliminary figures, the surplus of balance of trade in goods and services was 105,122 million ISK at current exchange rates, compared with 155,411 million ISK for the year 2016.
These figures are published in the Transition table on Statistic Iceland’s website, which harmonizes the standards for trade in goods and balance of payment.
