According to preliminary figures for April 2016, the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 47,200 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 53,800 million fob. Thus, there was a deficit of ISK 6,600 million in April, calculated on fob value.
Note that an estimation for fuels purchased abroad by Icelandic ships and aircraft is now included in the preliminary figures.
