According to preliminary figures for February 2016, the value of exported goods amounted to over ISK 42,500 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to almost ISK 44,300 million fob. Thus, there was a deficit of ISK 1,700 million in February 2016, calculated on fob value.
Note that an estimation for fuels purchased abroad by Icelandic ships and aircraft is now included in the preliminary figures.
