According to preliminary figures for March 2016, the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 44,500 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 53,400 million fob. Thus, there was a deficit of ISK 8,900 million in March, calculated on fob value.
Note that an estimation for fuels purchased abroad by Icelandic ships and aircraft is now included in the preliminary figures.
