The value of exported goods amounted to ISK 52,100 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 55,200 million fob according to preliminary figures for November 2019. Thus, there was a trade deficit, calculated on fob value, of ISK 3,100 million as compared with a trade deficit of ISK 18,800 million in November 2018, at current rates of exchange. Trade deficit without ships and aircraft was ISK 1.800 million.

In November 2019 the value of exported goods was ISK 1,700 million lower than in November 2018 or 3.1% at current exchange rate due to decreased exports in manufacturing products while offsetting increased trade in agcricultural products.

The value of imported goods in November 2019 was ISK 17,400 million lower than in November 2018 or 23.9% at current exchange rate. The decrease was mainly in industrial supplies and fuels.
