Export of services for the third quarter of 2015, according to preliminary figures, was 189,948 million ISK and the import of services 99,548 million ISK. Therefore, the services trade surplus in the third quarter of 2015 was 90,400 million ISK but the surplus in the third quarter of 2014 was 77,775 million ISK at current exchange rates.
Travel is the largest category within both export and import of services and the surplus of travel was 49,495 million ISK. Export of travel services was 86,403 million ISK and import 36.908 million ISK. Surplus of travel services in the same quarter of 2014 was 36,569 million ISK at current exchange rates.
Transport services had the largest surplus of 55,523 million ISK. Export of transport services was 73,132 million ISK and import 17,609 million ISK.
Other business services had the largest deficit of 18,677 million ISK. Import was 26,453 million ISK and export 7,776 million ISK.
