According to preliminary figures for June 2009 the value of exported goods amounted to almost ISK 40,800 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 32,000 million fob. Thus, there was a trade surplus of ISK 8,700 million in June 2009, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.
There is an indication of an increase in the exported value of marine products and an increase in the value of imported industrial supplies but a decrease in imported fuels and lubricants in June compared with May 2009.
