According to preliminary figures for May 2009 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 38,700 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 31,400 million fob. Thus, there was a trade surplus of ISK 7,300 million in May 2009, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.
There is an indication of increase in the exported value of marine products and manufacturing products and increase in the value of imported fuels and lubricants but a decrease in imported industrial supplies in May compared with April 2009.
