According to preliminary figures for September 2008 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 42,300 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to almost ISK 42,600 million fob. Thus, there was a trade deficit of ISK 0,200 million in September 2008, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value. There is an indication of increase in the imports of fuels and an increase in the exports of marine products and aluminium in September in comparison to August this year.
