In October 2019, the value of exported goods in BOP* was estimated 66,200 million ISK and value of imported goods was estimated 64,500 million ISK. Hence, a surplus of balance of trade in goods in BOP was estimated 1,700 million ISK. In the same month, export of services was estimated 53,200 million ISK and import of services was estimated 39,500 million ISK. Hence, the surplus of balance of trade in services was estimated 13,700 million ISK in October 2019.
Total export of trade in goods and services was therefore estimated 119,500 million ISK in October and total import of trade in goods and services was estimated 104,100 million ISK. The surplus of balance of trade in goods and services was estimated 15,400 million ISK in October 2019.
In the first ten months of 2019, total export of trade in goods and services was estimated at 1,130,100 million ISK compared with 1,115,200 million ISK in the first nine months of 2018. For the same period, estimated import of trade in goods and services was 1,018,900 in 2019 compared with 1,024,400 million ISK in 2018. The surplus of balance of trade in goods and services was therefore an estimated 111,200 million ISK in the first ten months of 2019 compared with a surplus of 90,800 million ISK for the same period the year before.
