Export of services for the first quarter of 2015, according to preliminary figures, was 101,223 million ISK and the import of services 81,751 million ISK. Therefore, the services trade surplus in the first quarter of 2015 was 19,472 million ISK but the surplus in the first quarter of 2014 was 15,627 million ISK at current exchange rates.
Transport services had the largest surplus with 22,754 million ISK. Export of transport services was 36,086 million ISK and import 13,332 million ISK.
Travel is the largest category within import of services and the surplus of travel was 6,611 million ISK. Export of travel services was 31,341 million ISK and import 24,730 million ISK. Surplus of travel services in the same quarter of 2014 was 2,443 million ISK.
Other business services had the largest deficit of 13,250 million ISK. Import was 21,809 million ISK and export 8,560 million ISK.
