According to preliminary figures of balance on external trade in goods and services, as published in Balance of payments and National accounts, the surplus was 155,178 million ISK in 2015. In 2014 the surplus was 124,342 million ISK at current exchange rates. The deficit of balance of trade in goods was 35,508 million ISK but the surplus on trade in services was 190,686 million ISK. This information is available in the Transition table on Statistics Iceland’s website which harmonizes the standards of trade of goods and balance of payments. Changes made on previous years are due to changes in the estimate of FISIM and estimate of smuggling of goods from abroad.
