The fishing catch amounted to nearly 86 thousand tonnes in July 2025, which is 10% more than in July 2024. Demersal catch decreased by 1% between years and was nearly 26 thousand tonnes, while pelagic catch was 58 thousand tonnes, mostly mackerel.
During the twelve-month period from August 2024 to July 2025, the total catch was 980 thousand tonnes compared with 1,057 thousand tonnes one year earlier which is a 7% decrease.
