The total catch of Icelandic vessels was 95 thousand tonnes in November 2015. This is a 6.5% increase compared to November 2014. Demersal catch amounted to 40 thousand tonnes with 24 thousand tonnes of cod and 4 thousand tonnes of haddock. Pelagic catch increased by 13.5% and flatfish by 23.3.
For the first 11 month of the year the total catch has been 1315 thousand tonnes which is 21.3% more than for the same period in 2014. The demersal catch remained just about the same while there was a 15.2% increase in flatfish and 37% increase in pelagic catch.
The November 2015 catch is 1.2% less in fixed prices than in November 2014.
