The total catch of Icelandic vessels was nearly 192 thousand tonnes in March 2015, an increase of 96 thousand tonnes compared to March 2014. This is mostly due to increased capelin catch which was 128 thousand tonnes compared to 36 thousand tonnes in March 2014.
Demersal catch increased by 3 thousand tonnes, or 6.5% compared to 2014.
At constant prices, the volume of catch increased by 32.9% in March 2015 compared to March 2014.
