Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 13.3 billion ISK in January 2013, compared with 12.6 billion ISK in the first month of 2012. Total value increased therefore by 5.5% between years.
Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 7.7 billion; thereof cod ISK 4.3 billion, haddock 1.2 billion, and redfish 1.1 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 5 billion and flatfish catches for 0.6 billion.
