The value of catch from Icelandic vessels in April 2018 was 11.4 billion ISK. Demersal catch value was 8.3 billion ISK, of which the value of cod was just over 4.5 billion ISK. The value of pelagic catch was 2 billion, mostly blue whiting. Value of flatfish was 773 million ISK and the value of shellfish was 348 million ISK.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from May 2017 to April 2018 was 122 billion ISK which is a 5% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.
