In the first nine months of 2021, the catch of Icelandic vessels was 812 thousand tonnes, 2% more than during the same period in 2020. The value of first sale was 118 billion ISK in the first three quarters of 2021, which is 3% more than in 2020. The value of demersal species in January to September 2021 was 85 billion ISK, 1% less than in the year before.
In the 12 month period from October 2020 to September 2021, the value of catch was nearly 152 billion ISK, 3% more than in the same period year earlier.
