The total value of catch from Icelandic fishing vessels in April was 13.5 billion ISK, 16% more than in April 2018. Demersal catch value was nearly 10.9 billion ISK, an increase of 28.1%. Value of pelagic catch decreased by 22.7% compared to April last year. The value of flatfish was just over 842 million ISK and increased from April last year.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from May 2018 to April 2019 increased by 9.2% compared with the same period a year earlier.
