Value of catch of Icelandic vessels was nearly 15.1 billion ISK in March, which is more than 21% decrease compared with March 2015. The decrease is due to 2.7 billion ISK less value of demersal species and 25.5 billion decrease in value of pelagic species.
Value of catch in the 12 month period from April 2015 to March 2016 decreased by 4.5% compared to the same period one year earlier. During the time period the value of demersal catch increased by 4.8% while the value of pelagic catch deceased by 34.8%
