The total value of sold production in 2012 amounted to 750 billion ISK, which is an increase of 30.4 billion ISK, or 4.2%, from previous year. At the same time the Producer Price Index increased by 1.1% which means that the total value of sold production increased by 3.1% in real terms. As in previous years, fish products and basic metals have the highest proportion, with fish products accounting for 35.7% of the total value and basic metals for 32.7%. The value of sold production, excluding fish production and manufacturing of basic metals accounted for 237 billion ISK compared to 215 billion ISK in 2011.
