Total labour costs per hour increased by 11.0% between the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2010 in the economic activity of Transport, storage and communication, 9.7% in Wholesale and retail trade; repair, 8.5% in Construction and 7.3% in Manufacturing.
Total labour costs excluding bonuses increased between quarters by 6.3% in Construction, 4.7% in Wholesale and retail trade; repair, 3.8% in Transport, storage and communication and 1.8% in Manufacturing.
From the previous year total labour costs rose in all economic activities. The increase ranged from 8.2% in Construction to 9.5% in Wholesale and retail trade; repair.
The labour cost index measures, on a quarterly basis, the development of labour costs per hour worked. The index is not adjusted to changes in working hours or labour structure.
