A total of 6,100 individuals were unemployed in August 2024 according to seasonally adjusted results from the Icelandic Labour Force Survey. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.5% in August. The employment rate was 82.3% and the activity rate was 84.4%. The unemployment rate stayed the same between months while the employment rate increased by 1.5 percentage points as did the activity rate.
