A total of 6,200 individuals were unemployed in July 2024 according to seasonally adjusted results from the Icelandic Labour Force Survey. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.6% in July. The employment rate was 80.7% and the activity rate was 82.9%. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.3 percentage points between months while the employment rate increased by 1.3 percentage points and the activity rate increased by 1.1 point.
