A total of 7,700 individuals were unemployed in June 2024 according to seasonally adjusted results from the Icelandic Labour Force Survey. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.2% in June. The employment rate was 79.0% and the activity rate was 81.6%. The unemployment rate increased by 0.8 percentage points between months while the employment rate decreased by one percentage point and the activity rate decreased by 0.8 points.
