A total of 9,500 individuals were unemployed in March 2024 according to seasonally adjusted results from the Icelandic Labour Force Survey. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.1% in March, the employment rate was 77.8% and the activity rate was 81.1%. The unemployment rate increased by 0.5 percentage points between months while the employment rate decreased by 0.6 points and the activity rate decreased slightly or by 0.2 points.
