A total of 6,400 individuals were unemployed in November 2024 according to seasonally adjusted results from the Icelandic Labour force survey. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.8%, the employment rate was 77.2% and the activity rate 79.4%. Seasonally adjusted unemployment decreased by 0.4 percentage points month-on-month. The employment rate decreased by 2.2 percentage points, and the labour force participation rate decreased by 2.6 percentage points. The measured unemployment rate in November was 2.4%, the measured labour force participation rate was 78.0%, and the measured employment rate was 76.1%.
