Disposable income of the household sector has increased by 9.6% in 2011 from the previous year. Disposable income per capita has increased by 9.3 % from 2010 to 2011 and purchasing power per capita by 5.1%. Households’ total income has increased by 6.7% between 2010 and 2011 and total expenditure (i.e. property expenditure and current transfers paid) has increased by 2.7% in the same time period.

There have been some revisions in the data since the last publication. Notably, data on operating surplus of owner occupied dwellings has been revised for 2010 due to availability of more accurate figures.
