NEWS RELEASE NATIONAL ACCOUNTS 10 OCTOBER 2017

Disposable income of the household sector in 2016 increased by 10.2% from the previous year, while per capita income increased by 8.7%. Measured in real terms, purchasing power per capita, increased by 6.9%.

Households’ total income increased by 11.1% from the previous year. Thereof, total compensation of employees increased by 11.6%, property income by 16.8%, operating surplus from sole proprietorship by 10.4% and current transfers received increased by 7.4%.

Total expenditure (i.e. property expenditure and current transfers paid) increased by 12.4% in the same period, thereof property expenditure increased by 5.9% and current transfers paid increased by 13.3%.

 

Some minor revisions based on better source data have been made for scholarships and research grant figures for the years 2012-2015 and operating surplus from owners´ occupied dwellings has been revised for 2015 due to availability of more accurate figures. Net income from abroad has been revised for the years 2013-2015.
