The CPI compiled in April 2006 is 255.2 points (May 1988=100), 1.14% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 236.1 points, 1.07% higher than in March.
Prices of petrol and diesel oil rose by 6.7% (effect on the CPI 0.42%) and prices of new cars rose by 4.1% (0.24%).
Owner occupied housing cost rose by 1.8% (0.30%), thereof the effect of higher market prices of housing was 0.24% and of higher real interest rates 0.06%. Prices of clothing and footwear rose by 3.0% (0.14%).
The CPI in April 2006 is 5.5% higher than in April 2005 while the CPI less housing cost is 3.4% higher than one year ago. The CPI rose by 2.2% over the last three months equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 9.1% (CPI less housing cost: 8.2%).
The credit terms index in May 2006 is 255.2 points. The old credit terms index is 5,039 points in May 2006.
