The Consumer Price Index (CPI), based on prices in December 2022, is 564.6 points (May 1988=100), 0.66% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 466.8 points, 0.76% higher than in November 2022.
Prices of food and drinks increased by 0.6% (effect on index 0.10%) and prices of international airfares increased by 19.4% (0.34%).
The average CPI in the year 2022 was 545.1 points, 8.3% higher than the average in 2021. This increase corresponds to a 4.4% rise in 2021 and 2.8% in 2020.
The average CPI less housing cost was 453.7 points in 2022, 6.1% higher than in 2021. This change can be compared with 3.8% in the year 2021 and 3.0% in 2020.
The CPI is 9.6% higher in December 2022 than in December 2021 and the CPI less housing cost is 7.5% higher than one year ago.
The CPI compiled in the middle of December 2022, 564.6 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in February 2023. The old credit terms index for February 2023 is 11,148 points.
