The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in February 2021, is 493.4 points (May 1988=100), 0.69% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 422.5 points, 0.76% higher than in January 2021.
Winter sales are coming to a close causing an increase in prices of furniture and furnishings by 3.2% (effect on index 0.17%) and in prices of clothing and footwear by 4.4% (0.15%). Regular maintenance of the dwelling rose by 2.2% (0.11%).
The CPI is 4.1% higher in February 2021 than in February 2020 and the CPI less housing cost is 4.5% higher than one year ago.
The CPI compiled in the middle of February 2021, 493.4 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in April 2021. The old credit terms index for April 2021 is 9,742 points.
