Cost of owner occupied housing rose by 1.9% (effect on the index 0.34%), mainly owing to higher market prices of housing. Prices of petrol and diesel oil rose by 3.2% (0.14%).
The CPI in June 2007 is 4.0% higher than in June 2006 while the CPI less housing cost is 1.7% higher than one year ago. The constant tax-rate CPI is 5.8% higher in June 2007 than in June 2006. Over the last three months, the CPI rose by 2.0%, equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 8.2% (CPI less housing cost 5.0% inflation).
The credit terms index applicable in July 2007 is 272.4 points. The old credit terms index is 5.379 points for July 2007.
