Cost of owner occupied housing rose by 1.0% (effect on the index 0.18%), mainly owing to higher market prices. Prices of food and beverages rose by 1.3% (0.16%) and of petrol and diesel oil by 3.1% (0.14%).
The CPI in May 2007 is 4.7% higher than in May 2006 while the CPI less housing cost is 2.5% higher than one year ago. The constant tax-rate CPI is 8.1% higher in May 2007 than in May 2006. Over the last three months, the CPI rose by 1.1%, equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 4.6% (CPI less housing cost 0.7% inflation).
The credit terms index applicable in June 2007 is 271.0 points. The old credit terms index is 5.351 points for June 2007.
