The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in May 2022, is 539.5 points (May 1988=100), 0.77% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 450.2 points, 0.42% higher than in April 2022.
Prices of food and drinks increased by 0.9% (effect on index 0.14%), cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent) increased by 2.3% (0.43%), prices of new car increased by 2.1% (0.11%) and prices of petrol and diesel oil increased by 2.9% (0.10%). Prices of international flights decreased by 6.9% (-0.14%).
The CPI is 7.6% higher in May 2022 than in May 2021 and the CPI less housing cost is 5.5% higher than one year ago.
The CPI compiled in the middle of May 2022, 539.5 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in July 2022. The old credit terms index for July 2022 is 10,652 points.
