NEWS RELEASE PRICES 10 SEPTEMBER 2004

The CPI compiled in September 2004 is 235.6 points (May 1988=100), 0,43% higher than the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 228.2 points, 0.40% higher than in August.

Clothing and footwear prices rose by 7.5% (effect on the CPI 0.38%) when most of the summer sales came to an end. 

The CPI in September 2004 is 3.4% higher than in September 2003 and the CPI less housing cost is 2.5% higher. The CPI fell by 0.04% over the last three months equivalent to an annual deflation of 0.2% (CPI less housing cost 0.9% lower). 

The credit term index in October 2004 is 235.6 points. The old credit term index is 4.652 points in October 2004.
