Summer sales have come to an end leading to a 13.0% rise in prices of clothing and footwear (effect on the CPI 0.60%). Groceries’ prices rose by 1.7% (0.28%). Prices of fuels rose by 4.9% (0.25%).
Owner occupied housing cost rose by 1.2% (0.19%), the effect of higher market prices of houses was 0.22% and of lower average real mortgage rates -0.03%.
The CPI in September 2005 is 4.8% higher than in September 2004 while the CPI less housing cost is 1.4% higher than one year ago. The CPI rose by 1.9% over the last three months equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 7.6% (CPI less housing cost: 5.7% inflation).
The credit term index in October 2005 is 246.9 points. The old credit term index is 4,875 points in October 2005.
