NEWS RELEASE PRICES 28 SEPTEMBER 2021

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in September 2021 is 508.2 points (May 1988=100), 0.47% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 429.8 points, 0.19% higher than in August 2021.

Cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent) rose by 1.7% (effect on the index 0.29%). Prices of clothing and footwear increased by 4.1% (-0.15%) and prices of international airfares decreased by 7.0% (-0.11%).

The CPI is 4.4% higher in September 2021 than in September 2020 and the CPI less housing cost is 2.9% higher than one year ago.

The CPI compiled in the middle of September 2021, 508.2 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in November 2021. The old credit terms index for November 2021 is 10,034 points.
