Summer sales are widely in action causing a decrease in prices of clothing and footwear by 11.3% (effect on the index -0.41 %). Cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent), rose by 1.0% (effect on the index 0.22%). International airfares rose by 23.0% (0.31%).
The CPI is 2.7% higher in July 2018 than in July 2017 while the CPI less housing cost is 1.4% higher than one year ago.
The CPI compiled in the middle of July 2018, 454.8 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in September 2018. The old credit terms index for September 2018 is 8,980 points.
